Tom DeLonge on blink-182 past: “Bands are tricky but well worth the fight”

Amid a myriad of drama revolving around blink-182‘s co-headliner with Lil Wayne, former guitarist Tom DeLonge is making fans nostalgic about the pop-punk glory days.

While DeLonge and Angels & Airwaves are preparing for their own tour kicking off in the fall, he reminisced about his former band with a classic photo.

DeLonge shared the image on Instagram, capturing classic blink in their purest, goofiest form.

He also included a touching message that could pass as great advice for artists everywhere.

“When there was unity, there was an unbreakable potential. Bands are tricky, but well worth the fight to make something great,” the caption reads.

The touching sentiment wasn’t lost on DeLonge’s former drummer Travis Barker, who commented on the photo.

“Stop play’in with my emotions ….. Smokey!” the comment reads.

Despite looking back on blink, DeLonge has been full steam ahead with Angels & Airwaves. Recently, the frontman teased the followup to their last single, “Rebel Girl.”

Another recent Instagram post contains the simple words, “New song coming…” with the band tagged in the post’s caption.
