Tom DeLonge and the internet react to that ‘Great British Bake Off’ cake
This week, the beloved Great British Bake Off returned for a brand new season. The first episode was Cake Week and contestants were tasked with making a 3D showstopper of their heroes. For the challenge, one contestant decided to create a cake of Tom DeLonge.
Following the cake’s debut, both the internet and DeLonge are reacting to the interesting cake creation.

This week’s episode of Bake Off included various music-inspired cakes from the contestants. Late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury and David Bowie were amongst cakes of other heroes including Sir David Attenborough.
However, Dave from Hampshire was inspired by the Angels & Airwaves frontman for his hero-inspired showstopper.
The cake consisted of a strawberry and mint-flavored cake with chocolate buttercream. Ultimately, the cake earned mixed reviews from the judges and Dave, unfortunately, didn’t walk away as Star Baker this week.
Dave’s cake, however, eventually caught the attention of the former blink-182 member who shared his thoughts on Instagram.
