Tom DeLonge: "Blink is in my DNA"

Over the past weekend, former Blink-182 founding member and Angels & Airwaves frontman Tom DeLonge sat down with his local newspaper, The San Diego Union Tribune.

In the interview, which you can read in full here, DeLonge addressed the ever-developing controversy of if and when he will reunite with Blink.

The following passage is taken directly from the article:

“Blink is in my DNA,” he said, suggesting an eventual reunion is likely. “I talk to Travis quite a bit and we try and figure out how and when it’s going to make sense.

“It’s not like I (permanently) walked away. They have someone doing my job for me (in blink). It’s just that I’m so busy. If I wanted to, I could be back (in blink) in a period of days.”

From a business perspective, DeLonge never left blink.

“I still own the band,” he noted, before quickly clarifying that he, Hoppus and Barker “own everything” blink-related.

This is interesting, mostly because DeLonge states that he's already discussed this seemingly inevitable reunion with drummer Travis Barker.

Blink-182 started in the small city of Poway, California, which is a part of San Diego County. They recently received a Grammy nomination for their 2016 album California, which was recorded with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba on vocals, replacing DeLonge.

The feature sees DeLonge talk extensively to reporter George Varga about his new book, movie, and future career endeavors. It's packed with information and personality, so check it out in the link above!

Tom DeLonge has recently announced his upcoming book, as well as movie he'll be directing. Both are centered around UFO's and alien life, which DeLonge has a known fascination of.
