Tom DeLonge releases science fiction novel, 'Strange Times: The Ghost in the Girl'

Tom Delonge, known for playing guitar and providing vocals for both Blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves, is releasing a new young-adult science fiction novel, Strange Times: The Ghost in the Girl.

The book is the first in a planned trilogy and features the same group that was in Delonge's graphic novel, Strange Times: The Curse of Superstition Mountain. Delonge is writing the novel with Geoff Herbach. Herbach has authored six books throughout his career, including the Stupid Fast series. Delonge also released a children's book in 2013.

“This is a story reflecting some of the peripheral moments in my life.  Of a suburban kid who grew up breaking rules, getting kicked out of high school, and obsessively looking for the more unusual and imaginative experiences that this world has to offer,” says DeLonge.

The novel features a group of outcasts trying to solve a mystery plaguing the town after a ghost invades their group.

Strange Times: The Ghost in the Girl was released on October 4th and can be purchased at bookstores everywhere.
