Tom Petty hospitalized after cardiac arrest - UPDATED

TMZ is now reporting that Tom Petty showed “no brain activity” after his arrival to the hospital, and that the decision was made to pull life support.

Musician Tom Petty was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Sunday night, Oct. 1, after being found unconscious and in “full cardiac arrest,” according to TMZ. Petty's condition is currently unknown but is thought to be “critical.”
Medical personnel responding to the scene were apparently able to get a pulse, and Petty was transported from his Los Angeles home to Santa Monica Hospital when he was discovered not breathing, as reported by Noisey. Sources are saying that the musician has been put on life support.
