Tommy Lee says Mötley Crüe will have the best post-apocalypse tour ever

Mötley Crüe are set to embark on a colossal co-headlining return tour with Def Leppard and while just about every band has cancelled or postponed their shows over the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus, drummer Tommy Lee is saying they’re still doing the tour.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Lee says the tour is still happening as scheduled and is in constant communication with the other members.

Lee posted a photo on his Twitter account telling people to “stay the fuck inside” as they still have their tour scheduled for the summer.

A few days later, the drummer spoke with Billboard where he reveals the tour is still scheduled to happen as originally planned at the moment.

“Everything’s still a go,” he says. “We’re all in constant communication. Nikki [Sixx] and I have been in several production meetings. You’re talking multiple stadiums, so it’s like two kids in a candy store putting together something people are going to walk [away from] saying, ‘Are you fucking kidding me?!’ That’s our mission right now, and it’s definitely headed in that direction.”

Further in the interview, he discusses how he feels the majority of people are going to feel upon re-entering the world when social isolation measures are less restrictive.

“By the time all this fucking apocalyptic bullshit is over, I think everyone’s going to be in a really good mood to go out and have the fucking best time ever. I really do. I hope everyone stays inside, and we can get a fucking grip on this and get back to people having their normal lives.”
