Earlier this week, Motley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee caught wind of rapper Travis Scott’s ASTROWORLD Tour setup. Lee in turn accused him of ripping off old sets by posting side-by-side videos of both stage designs.

Since then, fans have come forward claiming that Lee ripped off the idea from Blink-182’s Travis Barker.

Lee responded to the claims by posting a video of him doing the same drum stunt from 1981 (although fans were quick to correct him that it was actually ’87), long before Barker began doing something similar.

Barker then responded to the tweets claiming, “EVERYBODY COPIED Buddy Rich!!!”

Lee then made note that he never claimed to be the first to drum upside down, and no ill-will against Barker himself.

And who Lee is talking about is rapper Travis Scott.

Scott is currently on the road in support of his latest album of the same name. He’s been turning the stage into his own personal amusement park complete with a roller coaster and a ferris wheel-like contraption.

Earlier this month, in the midst of his tour, Scott hosted a one-day ASTROWORLD Festival featuring Post MaloneLil Wayne and more. The rapper reminisced over the hometown gig by posting a clip in the aforementioned ferris wheel.

Tommy Lee caught wind of the tour setup and claimed either Scott or his team stole the idea.

“Just found out this fucking idiot @travisscott or someone on his team ripped off the 360 AND The Crüecifly! WTF!! Get an original idea bro…(swipe to see who did this shit first) BRB there’s more …”

Lee followed it up with a second post alleging Scott also copied the Crüecifly with his roller coaster-like design.

“ANNNNND not one rip off but TWO. DOPE. I get copying is a form of flattery, but this is just straight ripping off my shit. What do you guys think??? #crüecifly”

Following the alleged proof of the idea theft, Lee took to twitter to tell Scott to “lawyer up.”

Lee also pointed out that the same production company used to create his designs also created Scott’s, telling everyone who claimed he wasn’t right to “fuck off.”

The production company has also worked with blink-182 where they constructed Travis Barker’s flying drum riser for their return in 2009, which marked their first post-hiatus tour.

Scott has still not publicly commented.
