Tommy Ramone, the co-founding and last remaining original member of the Ramones, passed away at his home on Friday at the age of 65, according to a report from Rolling Stone, who have received confirmation from a representative of Ramone's family. Ramone was in hospice care following his recent struggle with bile duct cancer.

He performed on classic albums such as the band's self-titled and Leave Home, as well as co-produced Road To Ruin and their live double album, It's Alive

Tommy Ramone left the band in 1978 to focus on his work as a producer. The Ramones were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2002.

An earlier version of this story incorrectly listed Tommy Ramone's age as 62.
