'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5' gameplay trailer revealed, features Plague Vendor song

It's been nearly 16 years since Tony Hawk's Pro Skater first hit the PlayStation in 1999 as skateboarding fans new and old began shredding through Burnside and Roswell while listening to Goldfinger and The Suicidal Tendencies. To make you feel even older still, it's been a lengthy 8 years since the last game in the franchise, Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, which released in 2007—not including spin-offs or the HD re-release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in 2012.

It was announced earlier this year that the skating franchise would be making a comeback, returning to its original title roots with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. Demo footage has been seen as of late but the first official gameplay trailer has been released and it features Epitaph Records band Plague Vendor's “Black Sap Scriptures” as a good introduction to the new game's soundtrack, one of the most anticipated elements of any Tony Hawk game. You can view the new trailer below.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 is set to release on September 29 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with Xbox 360 and PS3 versions to come shortly after.
