Tool finally make official music videos available on YouTube
Tool finally released their highly-anticipated album Fear Inoculum, which is the band’s first record in 13 years.
The band recently embraced the digital age this year, finally putting their entire catalog on streaming platforms.

“Our obsession with, and dream of, a world where betamax and laser disc rule has ended,” says vocalist Maynard James Keenan. “Time for us to move on. But never fear. There’s a brand new thing we think you’re really gonna dig. It’s called digital downloads and streaming. Get ready for the future, folks!”

Now, the band is completely giving over to the dark side of technology by uploading their official music videos to their YouTube channel.

Speaking of the new album, vocalist Maynard James Keenan has apparently death threats from some people who aren’t happy about the 13-year wait for the record, drummer Danny Carey said.
Carey opened up about the pressure the band had to deliver a new record and the expectations from fans.
“I felt bad for him, and he even told me he was getting death threats from these idiots out there,” Carey said. “They just have no idea what our work ethic is. These things don’t happen, man. There’s no other record that’s going to sound like this Tool record. What you hear is what you get, and what you get is what it takes to get it done. And it’s not an easy process.”
Keenan has been handling the majority of questions for the band regarding the new album since about 2015.
“I felt anxiety because they would blame our singer, and it’s not his fault. We all have our own things going on — lives, families, other projects, other interests — so it’s ready when it’s ready,” Jones said. “But I appreciate the dedication from our fans — the very strong dedication. [Laughs] But the record turned out cool and it’s very different than our last record. I think that’s what we all wanted.”
