The Songs That Saved My Life project engages current artists with cover versions of different songs while benefiting a variety of different mental health and suicide prevention organizations.

Crisis Text Line, Hope For The Day, The Trevor Project, and To Write Love On Her Arms are among the organizations benefiting from the project.

Trash Boat frontman Tobi Duncan released a video testimonial alongside the track, revealing why the band chose to cover this Linkin Park track.

I remember watching a radio interview Chester Bennington did in February 2017, just 5 months before his death. He spoke so plainly and openly about his suffering to the extent that, with the benefit of hindsight, it was obviously a desperate cry for help.”

He continues, “May is mental health awareness month, and with this cover comes a reminder to be the voice that counterbalances the army of negativity in someone’s head. Make the first move, ask the difficult questions and keep the conversation going, even if it seems helpless. You CAN make a difference.”

Last year, the project released the Songs That Saved My Life compilation, featuring covers from bands like Neck Deep, Against Me!, Taking Back Sunday, Dan Campbell and Ace Enders, Movements, The Maine, Dance Gavin Dance, and more.
