Travis Barker shares blink-182 Christmas song clip with festive claymation

Last month, blink-182 drummer Travis Barker teased that the band would be revealing a Christmas track this year and it finally has a release date.

Barker posted a snapshot of a claymation clip including some festive sounding instrumentals with a nod towards a December 6 release date.

Last year, Barker similarly teased a Christmas song and despite fans speculating it was a blink track, it turned out to be for The Goldfinger Christmas EP.

In an interview with Hannah Stocking, Barker and his daughter Alabama were playing a friendly game of Jenga when he was asked the question “What artists are you listening to right now?”

Along with XXXTentacion and Lil Wanye, the drummer also revealed that he was listening to a new Christmas song he and his band “just made.”

Despite not getting a blink-182 holiday song last year, this isn’t the first time they’ve made a festive track. They released “I Won’t Be Home for Christmas,” a classic twist in 2001 as a single that was later re-released on the 2003 comp A Santa Cause: It’s a Punk Rock Christmas.

Now it looks like we’re getting a brand new Christmas song from the kings of pop-punk.

Barker posted a teaser clip with some Christmas bells playing over a quick guitar riff paired with a claymation snapshot. Whether or not the song will arrive with a video is up in the air. The post was captioned “Not Another Christmas Song @blink182 12/6 ?” so it’s very likely we will be receiving the new track this Friday.
