WILLOW joins with Travis Barker for live performance of "Lipstick"

Recent AltPress cover star WILLOW has shared her live performance of “Lipstick” featuring Travis Barker.

Known for pushing limits, WILLOW is unafraid of stepping across genre lines and creating a sound that’s unique to her. Across five full-lengths and several EPs, the singer melds different sounds into intricate melodies and resonating backtracks.

“I feel like in some cases genre can be helpful because it is historical, and the only reason why we’re seeing so much genre-mixing today is because it’s 2021 and so much has evolved,” WILLOW stated in her Alternative Press debut cover interview. “I feel like it’s really case by case, but overall, I’m all for getting rid of the categories and just doing whatever you feel. But sometimes when I’m conceptualizing things, I do need to know each different kind of genre that I’m going to be nodding to—like laying out a road map that’s specifically for me.”

Barker also appeared on several tracks of her latest album, lately I feel EVERYTHING, including “Gaslight” and “G R O W” alongside Avril Lavigne. The live performance video follows the release of the “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l” visual, also featuring Barker.

Though not originally featured on “Lipstick,” the blink-182 drummer joined the singer for its live taping. Barker previously performed a couple of songs with WILLOW during her WILLOW IN CONCERT livestream earlier this year.

WILLOW will join Billie Eilish on her Happier Than Ever tour early next year. Tickets are available to purchase here.
