True love is a lie: Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy break up

It's official: True love is a lie. Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy have broken up. After 40 years of seemingly infrangible love and perseverance, the iconic couple are going their separate ways, with Kermit calling it “a day-by-day, moment-by-moment process,” (via ConsequenceOfSound)

The news came during a press conference earlier today for the Muppets’ upcoming show on ABC. “Dating Moi is like flying close to the sun,” Piggy claimed. “It was inevitable that Kermit would drop down to the ground while I stayed in the heavens.”

Kermit later solidified the news via Twitter.
