Before their St. Louis concert, twenty one pilots’ Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun visited Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital to visit some kids that were unable to see their show.

According to Fox2Now St. Louis, the band visited the hospital after two patients made a video asking for the duo to come through before their gig. In the video, the hospital covered TOP’s version of “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” in addition to asking the band to visit.

One of the patients in the video, Rachal Sancoucie, who is battling liver disease, seemed to be pretty stoked about the entire event. She goes on to describe what the band means to her in her current position.

“They present this melancholy feeling,” Sancoucie says. “And, you know, that’s what you feel in the hospital — It’s not horrible, but you know, it’s not nice.”

Prior to this encounter, TOP had never visited a children’s hospital before, according to the report. During their first stopover, Joseph played the ukelele while the pair played a few songs to the children. After the performance, the band talked with patients and signed autographs.

“Music’s gotten me through hard times and coming and seeing what these kids battle every day and using music, you know, it makes me feel emotional,” Dun says.

The story goes on to share that the hospital actually uses TOP’s music as therapy for its patients, making this experience extra special for everyone involved.

“It’s a language spoken all over the world. It’s something powerful and to see it being used in an environment like this, it’s encouraging but also inspiring,” Joseph says.

Well said, Tyler. You can watch the visit unfold below.
