Here’s why fans think twenty one pilots are releasing more new music soon
Do you think twenty one pilots are releasing new music on April 20?April 20, 2020
twenty one pilots might be releasing new music today, April 20. At least, some fans think so. Tyler Joesph has been keeping his tweet count to 420 for a while and he just posted a screenshot of the amount on April 20 or 4/20.
twenty one pilots dropped their first song since 2018’s Trench earlier this month on April 9. The quarantine-themed “Level Of Concern” was an instant hit. Its already racked up nearly 16 million views on YouTube, inspired a very relatable meme and revealed that Josh Dun and Debby Ryan were maybe secretly married.
Now, Joseph is drawing attention to his tweet count. It could be because today is the day that we’ve all been making jokes about since we were 12. But, it could also be that twenty one pilots have something big coming.
Why wouldn’t it be today for some news anyway? It’s the start of the week, it’s a holiday of sorts and many of us are under quarantine with nothing to do but listen to new music.
But, it could be that Joseph posted the photo just to reassure fans that his tweet count was back to 420 because he did briefly go over and some fans screenshotted. Check it out below.

Keen-eyed fans also noticed that twenty one pilots’ old website is due to be reactivated. There seems to be no point in doing that unless there’s some big news on the horizon.
One member of the Skeleton Clique has a different theory, though. Reddit u/LREED42, hypothesizes that something will likely happen in September, given that “Nico And The Niners” is the the ninth track on Trench.
Who really knows? If twenty one pilots do decide to release something today, it sure is going to be a nice surprise.
More twenty one pilots
This month has already been a big one for twenty one pilots. Last week, they released a music video for “Level Of Concern,” their first new piece of music since their 2018 album Trench. Along with the excitement the video release caused, it also stirred up quite a lot of speculation that drummer Josh Dun and Debby Ryan may have secretly married.
Last week, Dun has revealed even more of what he has been working on over the past few months.
Dun has teamed up again with SJC Custom Drums to release a custom-designed crowd snare. Covered in an acrylic shell that is the signature Trench yellow, the snare also features flat black hardware. The details of the snare are exactly like the snare Dun uses when he drums on the crowd during twenty one pilots shows.
Now, this isn’t the first time Dun and SJC Custom Drums have collaborated together. Back in 2017, Dun designed a snare drum that featured red and matte black details to match their 2015 album Blurryface. He has also collaborated on a number of different items including practice pads and more with the Massachusetts-based company.
Dun’s brand new SJC Drums crowd snare is available for pre-order on the SJC Custom Drums official website. All orders are anticipated to be shipped out mid-May.

Dun also took to social media to share news about the collaboration. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has forced the cancellation of shows and tours worldwide, Dun also mentioned how he is currently using his crowd snare in the comfort of his own home.
On his Twitter page, Dun shares that “we call this the crowd snare, but since there are no crowds anywhere in sight, I just ride these drums around on top of my dog Jim.”

twenty one pilots were set to perform their only home state show of 2020 at Bunbury Music Festival in June, but that has since been canceled due to the pandemic. The band is still scheduled to play a number of gigs from May to July. You can see the full list of dates here.
