It’s easy as ever to hear twenty one pilots’ “Level Of Concern” live track

After giving “Level Of Concern” a fantastic live debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last Friday, twenty one pilots released the recording on all streaming platforms.

The performance originally sparked their fan base into a frenzy by a comment Tyler Joseph made near the end of the performance. Many believed him saying “out here making lemonade via email” was a hint to a new song. It still could be but for now, we’re still waiting.

After revealing they would be doing the performance, they finally played the follow-up to Trench for the first time along with the help of a few friends.

For the performance, Joseph and Dun brought along Simon JefferisJesse Blum of MisterWives and Paul Meany of Mutemath for the virtual show.

The band were also joined by everyone’s favorite creature Ned as he made his TV debut.

Several people are pointing out that the phrase “out here making lemonade via email” could relate to the classic catchphrase “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”

The original video for “Level Of Concern” was created by the duo mailing a USB drive back and forth to each other. Fans are noting that the social media back and forth while the song was being created displayed Tyler having some issues with understanding technology. As twenty one pilots fans know, the duo are notorious for building elaborate worlds and covertly hinting at them before a release.

Earlier today (May 26), twenty one pilots shared a photo. It looks like the set from the original “Level Of Concern” video. This added increased speculation that a new song might be coming.

But alas, it didn’t. For now, we simply get to enjoy “Level Of Concern – live from outside” on our favorite streaming platform.

More recently, twenty one pilots did an interview with with Apple Music‘s Zane Lowe where Joseph says their next album could be arriving sooner than expected.

“I’m writing a record right now,” he says. “I’m not sure when it’ll be released, but it’s definitely going to be sooner than we were planning on releasing a record.”

Since he is still in the writing process, Joseph doesn’t know exactly where the new album will stand within twenty one pilots’ discography.

“I don’t know if it’s this in-between record or if it’s a continuation of the narrative and where we left off,” Joseph shares.

While they aren’t able to perform live shows due to the coronavirus pandemic, he also said he wants to connect with fans through new music.

“Man, as much as I appreciate everyone getting on their computer and playing acoustic bedroom versions of stuff, it’s old for me,” Joseph tells Lowe in the new interview. “I don’t want to just do that. I want to talk to our fans through a record. That’s what I’m currently working on. Right before I got on this call, I was working on a new idea. I am excited about it.”
