The original yellow and black logo first made its appearance in 2018 when the duo was ushering in the Trench era. Unlike the two before it, an extra slash was added to each side of the hyphen. Singer Tyler Joseph later explained this as symbolism of protection the duo’s evolution.

“The feeling of being surrounded by something that’s protecting you,” he says. “I knew I wanted that logo to have those extra layer of protection.”

The band recently updated their Twitter and Facebook accounts with a new image, and although the change is small, it didn’t go unnoticed.

An observant twitter user posted the side by side images, the new logo is sharp, unlike it’s predecessor which looks worn.

Fans were quick to come up with theories (something the Clique is known for) for what the change means, some hoping it means new music is on the way.

One user is even saying they believe it might be the end of TØP’s Trench era.

The band haven’t announced any official news.
