twenty one pilots discuss “culture of perfection” during live performances

Twenty one pilots recently uploaded Episode 5 of their Bandito tour documentary series. The latest installment takes fans on a journey through a handful of European dates including Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany.

In the video, Tyler Joseph speaks to the camera about trying to master perfection at all of their shows. While he hopes that he and Josh Dun always feel as though they could improve, Joseph’s main goal is to give fans the best show possible.

After talking about potential stage improvements to songs “Chlorine” and “Cut My Lip,” Joseph dives into their perfection process.

“I like trying to create a culture of obsession over getting the show right and perfect,” Tyler Joseph says of their live performances. “Its starts with Josh and I obsessing over getting the show perfect. We have a lot of great crew members that have adopted that obsession. The day we walk off stage and don’t have something to get mad about that didn’t go perfect is going to be a sad day for me because that’ll be the end of a very fun hobby for me.”
