Twenty One Pilots actually hinted at pantsless Grammy attendance last week—watch

Unsurprisingly, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun did not give a traditional acceptance speech last night at the Grammy Awards.

Instead, the duo accepted Twenty One Pilots' accolade for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in their underwear. Funny enough, the guys actually hinted last week that they would ditch their pants at music's prestigious event.

In an interview with Circa News, Dun tells the story Joseph did on stage, explaining the two used to watch the Grammys in their underwear.

“I don't know why we were in our underwear,” he laughs to Joseph.

He continues: “I think we did it as a joke because if we were ever on the Grammys, we should go to the Grammys in our underwear.”

Dun then goes on to explain his amazing reaction to Twenty One Pilots' not just one—but five—Grammy nominations this year.

“It almost doesn't feel real,” he says.

Joseph adds, “We'll be wearing underwear.” Dun cuts in, “Maybe.”

Joseph finishes, “Whether or not there's something over top of that is still up in the air.”
