‘Twilight’ fans want Taylor Lautner to play the Joker in next ‘Batman’ movie
Ever since Robert Pattinson was pegged as the top choice to become the next Batman, the internet has exploded with their once-buried love for Twilight.
A few days ago, it was reported that deals were closing in on Pattinson for Matt Reeves’ “noir-driven detective” reboot.

Now, the internet wants his Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner, who played Jacob Black in the vampire saga, to join him.
While most want Lautner to play Batman’s nemesis the Joker, some also think the ex-werewolf would also make a great Catwoman.

All fun and games aside, the Reeves-directed reboot will play up the “world’s greatest detective” angle. It’s also not going to be an origin story like many reboots and won’t tie into the existing DC films.
“He’s supposed to be the world’s greatest detective, and that’s not necessarily been a part of what the movies have been,” Reeves previously explained. “I’d love this to be one where when we go on that journey of tracking down the criminals and trying to solve a crime, it’s going to allow his character to have an arc so that he can go through a transformation.”
The new Batman movie was originally being directed by Ben Affleck until Reeves took over the directing role in January 2017.
Pre-production on the Warner Bros./DC Comics flick is starting this year.
