‘Us’ twins had a major ‘Friends’ role, the internet is shocked

Jordan Peele’s Us is crazy for many reasons, but here’s one you probably didn’t expect—the twins featured in the film shared the role of Ross and Rachel’s daughter on Friends.

Yes, we were shocked too. Noelle and Cali Sheldon, who play Becca and Lindsey Tyler in Us, starred in Friends as Emma during season 9 and 10 when they were 1-year-olds.

In Us, the twins play Kitty (Elisabeth Moss) and Josh Tyler’s (Tim Heidecker) bratty daughters in the film. They are now 16 years old.

They definitely have not forgot their humble beginnings. Noelle shared a photo of them on the Central Perk set with the caption “the one where Emma got cloned.”

They also visited co-star Jennifer Aniston’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and shared a photo.

See how Us fans reacted to the realization on Twitter about the twins.

More on Us

Before it’s debut, the Get Out director snagged a second, and very rare, 100 percent rating with the film on Rotten Tomatoes.

Now after nearly breaking a box office record on opening night, Jordan Peele’s Us is continuing to horrifying fans and solidify its ranks among some of the greatest horror films of our time. As the weekend came to a close, the horror film broke the record for biggest opening weekend for an original horror film.

Peele‘s latest debuted to an estimated $70.3 million in ticket sales across 3,741 U.S. and Canada theaters this weekend.

That pushes Us to the title of biggest opening weekend for an original horror film, and third-biggest horror opening of all time right behind 2017’s It ($123.4 million) and 2018’s Halloween sequel ($76.2 million).

And that’s not all. Us also becomes the biggest debut for an R-rated original title ahead of 2012’s Ted ($54.4 million). It’s also the second-biggest debut of 2019, right behind Captain Marvel.

Peele’s follow-up film premiered in theaters Thursday night and earned $7.4 million that night. It was just $300,000 behind 2018’s Halloween to snag the record for best preview night for a horror film.

The film surpassed preview nights of The Nun ($5.4 million) and A Quiet Place ($4.3 million). Outside of the horror realm, Us even beat out the preview nights for major Marvel films such as Thor: Dark World ($7.1 million) and Ant-Man ($6.4 million).

Us stars Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther), Duke (Black Panther), Elisabeth Moss (Mad MenThe Handmaid’s Tale) and Tim Heidecker (Ant-Man And The Wasp). The film later announced additional cast members. Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Madison Curry, Cali and Noelle Sheldon and Duke Nicholson are also in the cast. Check out the trailer below.
