U2 tour manager found dead in hotel room

Dennis Sheehan, U2’s longtime tour manager, was found dead on Wednesday in a Los Angeles hotel. According to Consequence Of Sound, Sheehan was found unconscious at the Sunset Marquis Hotel, not long after the band kicked off their five-night concert series at the Forum in LA.

First reported by TMZ, the cause of death was determined to be cardiac arrest.

Sheehan, who was in his 60s, tour managed the band for over 30 years. He also worked with acts like Led Zeppelin and Iggy Pop.

 “We’ve lost a family member, we’re still taking it in,” Bono said in a statement. “He wasn’t just a legend in the music business, he was a legend in our band. He is irreplaceable.”
