Vampire Weekend cover 'Parks And Rec' theme in the middle of "M79"

Vampire Weekend are currently on tour in support of their recent album, Father Of The Bride. On Friday, the band performed at Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River State Park in Indiana, tossing in a few surprises during their set that included a cover of the Parks And Rec theme song.

The band were in the middle of performing their song “M79” off their first album when they transitioned into a cover of the Parks And Rec theme song.

A wise choice for their Indiana audience considering the series is based in Pawnee, Indiana. Vocalist Ezra Koenig also has a child with Rashida Jones, who played Ann Perkins in the show.
