Vans Warped Tour 2013 expand "Best Day Ever" and "Reverse Daycare" parent programs to all dates

This Father's Day, the Vans Warped Tour stop in Portland, OR did something new: dads were allowed into the festival for free with their ticket-holding children. It was a hit all around, so for the rest of the tour, the program has been expanded and modified (eligible for either parent now–mom too!).

“We’ve been noticing on our boards lots of fans without transportation,” explains tour founder Kevin Lyman. “We decided everyday for 2013 should be Mother’s and Father’s day, so we will celebrate by giving any parent who is bringing someone to the Warped Tour a ticket to enjoy the fun.”

The program allows “one parent a complimentary ticket into the festival if they are accompanying a paid ticket,” which can be arranged at the Vans tent out front of the gates.

Also more good news for parents is the expansion of the Reverse Daycase tent. Like the name suggests, this is a place for fest-goers to drop off their parents, who can relax in the company of air-conditioning, movies, comfortable seating and cold beverages while their kids sweat it out in the sun. The Warped 101 page offers more information on these services and more.
