Varials drop heavy beatdown track "In Darkness" along with video

Metalcore act Varials are dropping their sophomore album In Darkness tomorrow, but before then they’re giving fans a taste of the new record through the title track.

“In Darkness” arrives alongside a new music video featuring glitchy visuals to back the aggressive breakdowns.

The new song, premiering on Decibel, is jammed with tons of burly beatdown riffs and an ultra-aggressive tone to vocalist Travis Tabron’s voice.

“The title track to our record In Darkness is, in its most simple form, the perfect representation of our new energy,” says Tabron.

“As a song, it showcases the aggression we’ve always had but also opens up room for us to show the listener that we are NOT the same band and we intend on growing and changing with each record. As a whole, this LP is the evolved state of our band as we’ve shifted from being heavy for heavy’s sake into being heavy for a reason. We’ve become heavy in a truly dark way, and to be honest, it’s what we’ve always wanted. In Darkness is exactly where we needed to be.”

The band are also heading out on tour with Counterparts, Stray From The Path and Chamber at the end of this month. You can pick up tickets for the shows here.
