The Hype Is Dead is Vesperteen’s first EP since 2015. After a successful tour and building up a dedicated fanbase called the “Vesperteam,” Vesperteen’s Colin Rigsby is excited for his newest release.

“It’s a sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek expression about my own insecurity in feeling like no one cares anymore,” he says. “It’s overall a satirical commentary on my own fear and the idea that all anyone gets these days is 15 minutes of ‘fame.’”

Rigsby’s EP features catchy lines with energetic electro-pop instrumentation, making The Hype Is Dead perfect for fans of Tove Lo, Troye Sivan and Twenty One Pilots.

Speaking of, Vesperteen’s new EP will also feature Twenty One Pilots’ Josh Dun on “Speed Of Light,” an electric tune with a melodic explosion of melted instrumentation. Dun will be playing drums on the fiery new track.

Many folks have worked closely with Rigsby on his latest undertaking. The Hype Is Dead was co-produced by Lostboycrow, PJ Bianco and John Feldmann, who have also been known to produce albums with artists such as blink-182, All Time Low, 5 Seconds Of Summer and Demi Lovato.
