To backtrack, fans have been getting small updates on the upcoming record. Fuentes has previously teased photos of himself working on music for the new music, along with the promise of “something special” from the band late last year.

The news was revealed after the frontman quoted a tweet from a California radio station, 91X, that reads: “*is patiently waiting for @piercetheveil to drop a single.*”

The band’s account was quick to respond, saying “Love you guys! I promise we’re working on something really special for you.”

Then, the vocalist revealed that he had another project he was waiting to tell fans about, separate from the upcoming announcement regarding the band’s work.

“In addition to working on a new Pierce The Veil record, i’ve also been working on something big that I cannot wait to show you guys,” he says.

Now, we’ve learned that announcement is that Fuentes is the new co-chairman and CEO of a non-profit called the Living The Dream Foundation. The organization makes dreams come true for young adults and teens suffering terminal and life-threatening illnesses.

Fuentes has been serving as an ambassador for the organization for 3 years after first being introduced to them at Vans Warped Tour. At WT, the organization would introduce sick individuals to their favorite bands.

“They were always at the Vans Warped Tour and other big rock festivals making dreams come true for fans,” Fuentes told Billboard about his new position. “We love it because it’s so real and tangible. We get to actually meet the people and their families, and talk to them and hear their stories.”

“I’ve never run a nonprofit before, but I’ve learned a lot by working with Living the Dream over the years,’ he continued. “When the foundation wanted to move forward together, I saw it as a crossroad in my life, and I chose making it a bigger part of my life. I didn’t see it coming, but my heart is fully in it.”

Fuentes’ big goals upon starting the position including “reviving, relaunching and rebranding” the company to gain more name recognition from fans and get a larger following.

It’s great to see the musician so passionate about his next project and we can’t wait to see what he does in the position.
