Void Of Vision reimagine “Splinter” with Loathe’s Kadeem France–listen

Void Of Vision have shared a reimagined single featuring Loathe’s Kadeem France with the announcement that they’ll be re-releasing their 2019 album, Hyperdaze, March 5. Hyperdaze (Redux) will see many featured artists appear with the Australian metalcore group on their newly reimagined songs.

The final pre-album single “Splinter” has the band teaming up with France to completely reconceptualize the song’s sound. The band have been teasing Hyperdaze (Redux) all through February, with the re-release of fan favorites “Year Of The Rat” with Thornhill’s Jacob Charlton and “Decay” with Ecca Vandal preceding “Splinter.”

Jamie Hails of Polaris, Jon Deiley of Northlane and Garrett Russell of Silent Planet are all featured on Hyperdaze (Redux). After the release of the original Hyperdaze album in 2019, Void Of Vision supported Northlane and Polaris on an Australian/European tour. Silent Planet also appeared on the tour for some of the dates.

Void Of Vision also reunited with Bobak Rafiee of Justice For The Damned after the two bands supported I Prevail on tour in 2017. Other features on Hyperdaze (Redux) include Lucas Woodland of Holding Absence, Ken Koie of Crossfaith and Up Late.

Void Of Vision mainly turned to what was supposed to be their 2020 touring schedule to find artists. They also looked outside their genre to find musicians such as punk/hip-hop singer-songwriter Ecca Vandal and rock rapper Up Late, according to Void Of Vision vocalist Jack Bergin

“We felt free to get creative and branch out, and that lead to hitting up some people outside of our realm that could really take a track and flip it on its head,” Bergin says.

“The people I hand-picked for each track not only bring their own influence on board but also build on what was already such an emotionally heavy release,” the vocalist continues. “It’s fully shaken the album up and spat it out somehow even more powerful than the original.”

In early 2020, Void Of Vision headlined their own tour of Australia right before the coronavirus pandemic stopped all live shows. Then in July 2020, the band released a video for “Decay,” calling it an “isolation home movie.”

Void Of Vision recently announced that they’ll be playing two shows in mid-March in Belgrave. They will also support the Amity Affliction on their Australian tour this summer alongside WAAX and Nerve Damage. The Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave Them tour starts July 1, and you can buy tickets here
