The day after Lyman’s tease, Warped Tour tweeted out some more specifics regarding future plans including when the locations and lineup would be revealed as well as when tickets go on sale.

A month later, Lyman gave Warped fans another update on the festival’s status.

“Starting to get some great confirmations for the @VansWarpedTour 25th anniversary shows, would love to tell you where they are, but need to hold some hotel rooms before we announce. We plan on announcing the exact locations Jan. 28th!”

We knew the locations would be announced today, Jan. 28, and you can check out the big reveal below.

06/08 – Cleveland, OH @ Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
06/29 – Atlantic City, NJ @ Atlantic City Beach
06/30 – Atlantic City, NJ @ Atlantic City Beach
07/20 – Mountain View, CA @ Shoreline Amphitheatre
07/21 – Mountain View, CA @ Shoreline Amphitheatre

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will also have a special Warped Tour exhibit, Forever Warped: 25 Years of Vans Warped Tour. It will contain documents and history from its 1995 inception to its final cross-country run in 2018.

It will include instruments from Fall Out Boy, No Doubt, Rancid and Reel Big Fish. There will also be stage clothing from Joan Jett and Ice-T.

Cleveland will have a one-day event to kick off the exhibit opening. The Atlantic City and Mountain View shows will include more than 50 acts across several stages.

“I think probably close to half the bands on the first Warped Tour had some tie to the Bay Area,” Lyman says of the location. “There was the up-and-coming band The Deftones, and then of course the Fat Wreck [Chords] roster – Good Riddance, No Use For A Name, Face to Face, and Tilt.”

Previously, we knew the lineup and tickets would be revealed and go on sale respectively at some point in March. Now, we know the exact date for both will be March 1. Presale tickets will also be available beginning Feb. 25.

The last song at the final cross-country Warped Tour

Pennywise had the honor of closing out the festival and playing the final song of the last cross-country Warped Tour.

Emotions were high as bands headed into their final day of the festival, many taking the time to thank VWT founder Kevin Lyman for so many amazing summers and opportunities.

While bands have no idea of their set times until the morning of, many speculated on what the final song of Vans Warped Tour would be.

In an interview with AP, many bands revealed that “Bro Hymn” by Pennywise was their pick for the ‘National Anthem of Warped Tour.’

“I’m gonna call it right now,” Sébastien Lefebvre of Simple Plan told AP. “I feel like they will be closing the last Warped Tour with that song.”

“So I’m thinking Pennywise is going to play last, they’re going to play that song ‘Bro Hymn’ at the very, very end of their set and everybody that’s on the grounds is going to sing like crazy people. There’s going to be ugly criers in the front row, there’s going to be ugly criers in the backstage too because people are going to be sad this thing is over, but I believe that is the anthem of Warped Tour.”

Pennywise confirmed via Twitter that day that they would indeed be closing out the final date of the iconic festival’s cross-country run.

Watch them end an era by playing the final song of Vans Warped Tour, “Bro Hymn”.
