Kevin Lyman assures Warped Tour fans that shows will honor this tradition

The 25th anniversary shows of Vans Warped Tour are approaching and one tradition from the original Warped shows will still be honored at the festival’s new era.

Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman tweeted some more details about the anniversary shows on Sunday. Specifically, he addressed questions about non-profits at the show.

“Someone asked if all the non profits would be @VansWarpedTour 25th anniversary shows. Yes they are all welcome,” the tweet read.

In addition, the tweet stated that “we will have a canned food drive to skip the line.” That’s a win-win for everybody.

You can check out the dates for the anniversary shows below.

06/08 – Cleveland, OH @ Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
06/29 – Atlantic City, NJ @ Atlantic City Beach
06/30 – Atlantic City, NJ @ Atlantic City Beach
07/20 – Mountain View, CA @ Shoreline Amphitheatre
07/21 – Mountain View, CA @ Shoreline Amphitheatre

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will also have a special Warped Tour exhibit, Forever Warped: 25 Years of Vans Warped Tour. It will contain documents and history from its 1995 inception to its final cross-country run in 2018.

It will include instruments from Fall Out Boy, No Doubt, Rancid and Reel Big Fish. There will also be stage clothing from Joan Jett and Ice-T.

Cleveland will have a one-day event to kick off the exhibit opening. The Atlantic City and Mountain View shows will include more than 50 acts across several stages.

“I think probably close to half the bands on the first Warped Tour had some tie to the Bay Area,” Lyman says of the location. “There was the up-and-coming band The Deftones, and then of course the Fat Wreck [Chords] roster – Good Riddance, No Use For A Name, Face to Face, and Tilt.”

Previously, we knew the lineup and tickets would be revealed and go on sale respectively at some point in March. Now, we know the exact date for both will be March 1. Presale tickets will also be available beginning Feb. 25.
