One of the standout tracks of the night was the band’s vivacious version of Chris Cornell’s “Missing,” a 1992 deep-cut from the singer’s Poncier EP:

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder came out alone during the night’s first encore song to perform a rendition of Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down”.

The singer reminisced before the song, telling the crowd that the last time he had seen the late rock legend perform was on that very stage, last summer at Safeco Field.

Vedder was incredibly emotional during the moment, stating: “We have his songs forever, and if there’s some kind of way he’s out and about, up there metaphysically in some kind of way, I feel like I … just really want to get his attention … and tell him I miss him.”
