Gerard Way kicked off his recent encore at O2 Academy Birmingham  with a brand new song titled “Cheap Lights.”

Way teased the song's debut earlier this week, naming “Cheap Lights” as a companion to another brand new song he had performed earlier on the tour titled “Kid Nothing.”

“When I write new albums I tend to write the first 2 songs and see where the rest takes me,” Way said. “So there is a song that is supposed to come before Kid Nothing, which is pretty much all ready to go, just finishing lyrics. Expect to hear these in London.”

Check out a live video of the performance via YouTube user HesitantBug below, and stay tuned for clearer footage in the coming weeks. Fans at tonight's show in London, where Way opened with “Cheap Lights” followed by “Kid Nothing,” have reported the show was professionally recorded.
