Watch Nirvana and other grunge bands become 8-bit Nintendo characters

YouTube channel Filthy Frackers has uploaded a new video that turns grunge heroes like Nirvana and Pearl Jam into 8-bit Nintendo characters. As SPIN points out, along with the graphics, classic songs like Nirvana’s “In Bloom” are reimagined as part of an old-school NES soundtrack with 8-bit synth and lo-fi drums.

Aside from Nirvana and Pearl Jam, other bands on the medley include: Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, the Melvins, Alice In Chains and Mad Season. Check out the video below, and let us know your thoughts.
