Waterparks have a lot to celebrate following the recent release of their third studio album, FANDOM. Not only does this album mark the group’s highest-charting effort on multiple Billboard charts, but it also secures them the No. 1 spot on the Emerging Artists chart. We can’t wait to watch what happens next.
Released via Hopeless Records on Oct. 11, FANDOM debuts at No. 2 on the Alternative Albums chart, No. 5 on Top Rock Albums and No. 32 on the Billboard 200.
According to Nielsen Music, the record managed to pull in 15,000 equivalent album units.
Additionally, Waterparks re-enter the Emerging Artists chart dated Oct. 26 at No. 1, marking them as the top emerging act in the U.S.
Previously, the band’s second studio album Entertainment reached No. 7 on Alternative Albums, No. 13 on Top Rock Albums and No. 98 on the Billboard 200.
While the Emerging Artists chart acts similarly to the Billboard Artists 100, it does exclude acts that have landed a top 25 spot on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200. It also excludes those that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard’s “Hot” charts or consumption-based “Top” album genre rankings.
