Wayne Coyne (The Flaming Lips) to bring rare reissues, chocolate skulls to "Record Store Tour"

The Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne will embark on a five city meet and greet Record Store Tour, which kicks off today, Dec. 19, in Nashville, Tenn.

The singer is out to promote the reissues of two of The Lips' early recordings: The Flaming Lips 1st EP and The Flaming Lips 2nd Cassette Demo. The former, which was recorded in 1984 and hasn't been available on vinyl since 1986, will be released as a green 12-inch. The latter, which was recorded in 1983, will be available as a blue 7-inch. Both records have been remastered, and will be limited to 2,000 copies when they become available Dec. 24.

In addition to selling copies of both reissues early, Wayne will be bringing an extremely limited version of the EP to all record store stops, housed in a life-sized, hand-made chocolate skull, which also contains a Golden Coin, granting access to any headlining Flaming Lips show in the world.
