we came as romans fit for a king

We Came As Romans and Fit For A King have officially dropped their reworked collaborations. The pair of bands announced the collabs earlier this month.

The two songs that were remade were We Came As Romans’ “Carry The Weight” featuring Ryan Kirby of FFAK and Fit For A King’s “Backbreaker” featuring WCAR’s Dave Stephens.

We Came As Romans and Fit For A King told the world about the collabs on May 14. They also announced a limited edition merch line that would drop the following day. While the merch may be gone, we have two absolute rippers for tracks from both bands.

“One of the things we love about touring is that we get to work with some of our favorite bands – we miss that, and wanted to create something that allows us to work with some of our favorite bands, and gives all of you a cool experience.

We’re stoked to be releasing a new version of “Carry The Weight” featuring Ryan Kirby of Fit For A King – a band we consider close friends, but have not had the pleasure of touring with yet. They will be releasing a new version of “Backbreaker,” off of their last album ‘Dark Skies’ featuring our own Dave Stephens,” WCAR’ tweet read.

Now, the day has arrived and both “Backbreaker” and “Carry Thee Weight” completely crush. Listen to both songs below.

We Came As Romans will be heading out on the To Plant A Seed 10-year anniversary tour with support from the Devil Wears PradaGideon and Dayseeker. The dates were postponed until later this summer due to the coronavirus.
