We Came As Romans "Tear It Down" with new single from upcoming album

We Came As Romans will be releasing their self-titled, fourth album on July 24 through Equal Vision Records, and today we get yet another taste of the band's newest material with “Tear It Down,” a new single streaming via Billboard.

In regards to the direction on the new record, the band shared with Billboard how producer David Bendeth really pushed them to create something fresh and unlike anything they've put out in the past. “He said, 'You better play something right now that's gonna impress me, 'cause this isn't.' At that point we had 12 songs and he pretty much shot down every single thing we came in with. It was absolutely shocking. He really called us out; 'This is your fourth record. You're doing the same shit you've been doing every other record. You can't get away with it.' That's why we went with him, though; we really needed somebody to force us to push ourselves creatively as musicians.”

Some of Bendeth's influence can surely be heard in “Tear It Down” as it boasts undeniable elements seemingly picked up from the early 2000s nu-metal scene and heavy rock from bands like Breaking Benjamin and Crossfade who Bendeth has worked with extensively.
