Here’s some exciting news: Weezer will be performing at the National Hockey League (NHL)’s Winter Classic.

The performance, which is slated the happen during the Chicago Blackhawks and Boston Bruins’ game, will happen on Jan. 1 for the NHL’s annual New Years Day event.

As reported by the Hollywood Reporter, the band will be taking the stage at the Notre Dame Stadium during the game’s first intermission.

The Blackhawks and Bruins will go head to head during the NHL’s annual outdoor hockey game on NBC, and more performers are still to be announced.

In other Weezer-related news, the band will be releasing a brand new album, Black Album, which is due out March 1, 2019.

The news comes after the band’s viral cover of Toto’s “Africa,” and it marks their fifth color-coded/self-titled release since their 1994 debut (Blue), 2001’s Green Album, 2008’s Red Album and 2016’s White Album.
