Weezer's 'Pinkerton' goes platinum eight days before 20th anniversary

Weezer’s sophomore album Pinkerton was certified platinum last Friday, just eight days before its 20th anniversary. (via Billboard)

Pinkerton was released September 24, 1996, following the group’s 1994 self-titled debut album, Weezer (The Blue Album).

The June 2016 Alt Press cover stars released their tenth studio album, Weezer (White Album), this past April and spent the summer on the road with Panic! At The Disco.
