Wendy’s roasts State Champs with hilarious pop-punk dig
Wendy’s vs. State Champs was not the Twitter interaction we were expecting to see today, but it’s the one we received. And we’re definitely not mad.
The fast food joint is known for their epic clapbacks on Twitter, and it looks like no one is safe, especially on National Roast Day.

A few days ago, they tweeted they were bringing back the day of burns in which people ask for and then receive insults.

They went after actor Devon Sawa of Final Destination, Idle Hands and Casper fame after his Bird Box dig.
Can’t make this too harsh because if your name starts trending in 2019 people might think you’ve died. ? https://t.co/Pm8EbpMHCO

While there was a plethora of general roasting, a couple tied back to the scene, making us feel as if the Wendy’s Twitter person used to be a scene kid themselves.
First, they dissed someone by bringing Hawthorne Heights and Terror into the mix.
Look like the kid who got knocked down in the pit trying to pretend this Hawthorne Heights show is a Terror show.

They questioned whether another user purchased a comforter from Hot Topic.
Did you buy your bedspread at hot topic?

Then dissed a second apparent Hot Topic shopper.

Wendy’s roasts State Champs
But the best of all of them was their interaction with State Champs where they made a reference to one of the band’s latest tracks, “Dead And Gone” as well as New Found Glory.
Just when you thought pop punk was dead and gone someone threw a new coat of paint on New Found to get them on top 40. #NationalRoastDay

The band replied with the perfect reaction.

Guitarist Tyler Szalkowski also replied to the pit roast with, “Can’t wait for Wendy’s to be the official This Is Hardcore sponsor.”
