WhoHurtYou show “Nobody Wins” in a breakup with second single -- UPDATED

WhoHurtYou just dropped a video for their new track “Nobody Wins” that seriously put us in our feels. They’re seen driving a classic car in the pink-colored video. Check that out below.

All Time Low guitarist Jack Barakat and Kevin Fisher, better known as the duo that makes up WhoHurtYou, just dropped a brand new track that’s all about guilt.
Earlier this week, the band took to Instagram to tease a brand new track titled “Nobody Wins.”

“A song about guilt,” Barakat captioned his Instagram post.
Fisher posts, “This one completely renewed my love and confidence in writing songs. I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
In the days leading up to the WhoHurtYou release, the teasing continued with posts of song lyrics written down in a notebook. The notes read as followed: “I’m sorry for turning my back and distancing myself from you when you needed me the most”. Another one also reads, “I’m sorry for letting our pasts get in the way of trusting you”.
“We all hold on to some sort of guilt from our failed relationships. It is important to forgive yourself. If you are harboring anything you need to let go of, write it down and set yourself free from the past.,” the band captioned the post.

Now, the song is out, and the band shared quite a bit of information about the heartbreaking inspiration behind it.
“Here is a song about the guilt you feel after ending a relationship with someone. Sometimes it seems like one person ends up in better shape than the other, but that’s almost never the case. It’s an extremely personal song that took everything we had already written to a whole new level. We felt it was important to share it with the world. No matter how shitty you’re feeling in the end, it’s important to remember that nobody wins,” they wrote on Instagram.
Also, Fisher hared news of the song on his personal profile with even more insight about what the song means to his career.
“It’s 5:30 am and I’m on my way to LAX. We wrote this song at a time in my life when I was ready to give up on making music. I have been writing songs for people for many years and as many of my fellow writers know, we are living in a time when even if you are successful at it, it hardly pays off,” Fischer began.
“I was working a day job I hated, unable to pay my bills while trying to juggle staying relevant and be believable as a singer in a project with a rockstar,” he continued. “It wasn’t until we wrote this that I got the feeling that made me love creating music in the first place. For that I am forever grateful. This one means a lot to me and I hope it you enjoy it too.”

“Nobody Wins” is the followup to the band’s first single, “Wish We Never Met,” which debuted in June.
The band also revealed their first EP, Stages, will be dropping later this year via Fueled By Ramen. The release will chronicle the stages of a breakup, ending with an unreleased track “Why Can’t We Be Friends.”

“This wasn’t something I expected to do,” Barakat explains of the project. “It definitely took a little bit of convincing on Kevin’s part. He’s been writing songs for years and has had some success. I’ve been in a band but hadn’t written music before. To get me into the studio, he said, ‘Dude, you have a story to tell. We both have a story to tell. Let’s get in the studio and see what happens.’”
