Fall Out Boy ‘From Under The Cork Tree’ videos disappear from YouTube
If you’re like us and wanted to start your morning off right by watching the scene classic “Sugar, We’re Going Down” over a bowl of cereal, then you’re already fully aware that the Fall Out Boy clip is nowhere to be found on YouTube.
While you can use the lyrics to help prevent the coronavirus, you definitely can’t see it on the site. And it’s not the only one to go missing.

On March 7, Twitter and Reddit users noticed all of the From Under The Cork Tree era music videos have vanished from the video platform. So, in addition to the star-crossed lovers in “Sugar, We’re Going Down,” we can no longer witness the band bust a move in “Dance, Dance” or channel their inner The Lost Boys in “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More ‘Touch Me.’”

When trying to access the links from previous embeds, viewers are presented with the message, “Video unavailable. This video has been removed by the user.”
This isn’t the first time this has happened with Fall Out Boy as the band’s videos for the same three songs were yanked from their channel in August 2018. The internet never really got an answer to why this happened a little under two years ago, but they did resurface eventually. In the meantime, it looks like we’ll all have to settle for GIFs.
With a little under two months until From Under The Cork Tree celebrates 15 years, could the band be preparing something special for the scene classic? One Reddit user speculates that the clips might be getting remastered. This theory seems to hold up as the band has a “Remastered FOB Vids ?” playlist where those links are currently missing.

However, pre-From Under The Cork Tree era videos such as “Dead On Arrival,” “Grand Theft Autumn / Where Is Your Boy” and set-closer “Saturday” are still kicking on YouTube in all of their low-quality glory. You can also still see Pete Wentz makeout with Kim Kardashian in “Thnks fr th Mmrs” and the Happy Tree Friends wreak havoc in “The Carpal Tunnel Of Love.”
The Save Rock And Roll era The Youngblood Chronicles has all 11 installments still readily available for your viewing pleasure, and you can check out “Irresistible” with or without a Demi Lovato cameo as usual. Finally, the llama duo known as Frosty and Royal Tea are safe and sound in the world of MANIA as all those clips remain intact.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the From Under The Cork Tree trio will rejoin the living soon.
