Will.i.am is a well-known name in the music scene. The Black Eyed Peas member now judges The Voice in the U.K. and even coaches for The Voice Kids.
He made an unexpected cameo on Trash Boat’s social media today from what appears to be his red coaching chair. In the Instagram video, he promoted their concert in Manchester.
“Thanks to @iamwill for the message before our Manchester show tonight! Shame you couldn’t make it. You’ll always have a guest list spot in the future!”
In classic Will.i.am fashion, he started off his video with a hearty “Yo!” in a pair of cool, tinted shades from what appears to be the set of The Voice U.K. He even made a joke about the band’s name all in good taste.
Check out his video below.
Will.i.am has been a coach on The Voice U.K. since Season 1. The show wrapped up its seventh season in April where the rapper appeared alongside Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs. Other coaches Will.i.am has competed against include Boy George, Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue and Jessie J.
Trash Boat are finishing up their tour dates supporting As It Is. They’re playing at the O2 Ritz in Manchester alongside Holding Absence and Courage My Love tonight on the Great Depression Tour.
They’ll be playing at Birmingham, U.K.’s O2 Institute Nov. 29, and they will finish the tour Dec. 1 at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town. Tickets for the final dates can be purchased here.
Hopefully, we’ll see Will.i.am in the pit at one of their shows in the future.
Earlier this summer, Trash Boat released their album Crown Shyness featuring 10 tracks.
Hopeless Records recently shared an intimate conversation with Trash Boat vocalist Tobi Duncan who analyzed and discussed his lyrics on the album. You can get a behind-the-scenes look below.
