After the recent injuries former Academy Is drummer Andy Mrotek sustained from an assault, ex-frontman-turned-solo-artist William Beckett will be performing a live show via stageit.com with all the proceeds from the show going to benefit Mrotek's upcoming time in the hostpital. Read a statement from Beckett below and you can purchase tickets here.

“Last week, my good friend and musical brother Andy Mrotek was jumped and attacked by multiple people, leaving him in need of reconstructive surgery. As procedures like this are very expensive, I wanted to do something to help Butcher through this horrible time.

On August 6th I will be playing a benefit show on Stageit.com in which all proceeds will be donated to Andy to help pay for his time in the hospital. I will be playing some of Andy’s favorite TAI songs in his honor.

If you have not attended a Stageit show before, its basically a live stream performance that you can watch me play from your computer at home. I’ve set the show up so that you can pay anything that you want from 10 cents to whatever. Keep in mind that this is a special benefit for Andy Mrotek and all proceeds will go towards helping him pay for his surgery.

Thanks, and see you there. Get your tickets now!”
