Woodstock unveils massive lineup for 50th anniversary event

The lineup celebrating the 50th anniversary of Woodstock is finally here. The massive bill will welcome huge names such as the Killers, Jay-Z, Halsey, Chance The Rapper and Miley Cyrus.

Woodstock’s 50th anniversary festival will also welcome Woodstock-era staples such as Dead & Company, Santana, John Fogerty and Robert Plant And The Sensational Shape Shifters. Additionally, other bands that will definitely ring a bell to scene enthusiasts include Fever 333, Bishop Briggs, Grandson and Boygenius.

The lineup comes after the festival was allegedly rumored to have downsized after INVNT pulled from the event. Additionally, there was some concern about the festival grounds being able to hold such a large audience.

“While the original site in Bethel remains close to our hearts, it no longer has the capacity to hold a real Woodstock Festival,” Woodstock co-creator Michael Lang says of the smaller Bethel Woods Music and Culture Festival. “I’m delighted that Bethel Woods is doing events in the coming year to celebrate what we brought to life in 1969.”

However, the bill itself suggests that the festival did not downsize at all. Instead, the large festival was simply moved to a new site in Watkins Glen, New York.

The festival will span three days in from August 16-18. You can pick up tickets for the monumental festival here.
