Rapper XXXTentacion has died on Monday, June 18 in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

TMZ broke the news that the 20-year-old musician was shopping for motorcycles when he was shot by an unidentified gunman.

At 5:39 p.m., the Broward Sheriff’s Office shared on Twitter that the shooting victim had been pronounced dead.

An hour later, XXXTentacion was confirmed to be the victim.

The New York Times reports the rapper was approached by two armed suspects in what appeared to be a robbery and at least one of them fired a gun before fleeing the scene.

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, who’s worked with XXXTentacion, reacted to the news on social media.

“I’m at a loss for words… speechless,” Barker wrote on Twitter. “Loved collaborating with you.”

Attila frontman Chris Fronzak also shared some thoughts on Twitter.
