Bad Vibes Forever marks the second posthumous album released by XXX. He previously released Skins just six months after his death on June 18, 2018 which followed two records released while he was alive.

His manager, Solomon Sobande, describes the album as “the love child between 17 and ?,” and confirmed the rapper’s mom is involved in the album’s creation.

“The executive producer is Cleopatra Bernard, Jahseh’s mother, who pieced everything together with the creatives who worked with Jahseh. John Cunningham, Jah’s right-hand man, produced the majority of the album. There’s outside production from DJ Carnage and JonFX.” Sobande told Billboard. “There’s a healthy amount. Tory Lanez and Mavado; there’s a country song featuring Lil Nas X. One of the most surprising is Blink-182 — one of Jah’s favorite bands.”

Blink-182 were previously sampled for alt singer-songwriter Skye‘s track “Voices” featuring XXXtentacion. Travis Barker also worked with him on “Pain = BESTFRIEND” before his death.

XXXTentacion’s career was shrouded in controversy stemming from gun-related violence, domestic abuse issues, alleged homophobia and more. He died in Deerfield Beach, Florida where he was shopping for motorcycles when he was shot by a gunman.

The album arrives December 7 but you can check out the title track right now. The rapper’s estate has also released a teaser trailer featuring interviews with Billie Eilish, Trippie Redd and more.
