Yellowcard sign to Razor & Tie; to release new album in 2014

After releasing two albums with Hopeless Records, Yellowcard have apparently moved on from the California indie label and signed with Razor & Tie (who also recently signed the Ready Set) for a multi-album deal that will see the band releasing a brand new album this fall.

The band comments, “We are beyond excited for what lies ahead. There are so many amazing opportunities on the horizon for us, and we are stoked to have a new partner in Razor & Tie.”

This news follows the recent departure of founding drummer Longineu “LP” Parsons III, who left Yellowcard to pursue “other musical interests,” according to a statement released by the band. It has already been confirmed that the band were writing a new album as early as January of this year. Their new record will follow 2012’s Southern Air.

Razor & Tie co-owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam add, “It's great to have Yellowcard on Razor & Tie.  They make rock the way we like it—with energy, hooks and attitude. They are total pros and we couldn't be more proud to work with them.”
