This past year has been quite a busy one for Andy Biersack. Along with starring in season one of the American Satan spinoff Paradise City, Biersack and Black Veil Brides are gearing up to release their new concept album The Phantom Tomorrow later this year. As well, Biersack recently lived out his Batman dreams for the comic Dark Nights: Death Metal.

Now, Biersack can add best-selling author to his list of achievements. Following the release of his new autobiography They Don’t Need To Understand in December, the book quickly shot to the top of book charts. Currently, the release is no.5 on Amazon’s Best Sellers in Rock Music list. It is also no. 10 on Amazon’s Rock Band Biographies and no. 16 on Actor & Entertainer Biographies.

“I am so thankful for the incredible reception the book has had,” Biersack says. “And it means the world to me to know that my story has resonated with so many people all over the world. This whole experience has been a dream come true.”

Throughout the memoir, Biersack takes fans along for the ride as he discusses moving to Hollywood after his 18th birthday to pursue his passion for music. From living in his car to eventually starting Black Veil Brides, They Don’t Need To Understand shows Biersack as no one has seen before.

Now, fans can experience They Don’t Need To Understand in a whole new way. This week, Biersack released an audiobook that is available everywhere where audiobooks are sold including Audiobooks.com and Audible.com. The book, which Biersack co-wrote with Ryan J. Downey, is read exclusively by the Black Veil Brides frontman in the new audiobook.

Along with his audiobook, Biersack has plenty of other exciting things in store. In March, the highly-awaited first season of Paradise City finally hits Amazon Prime. Back in August, Biersack shared some exclusive details to Alternative Press about the fate of his character Johnny Faust in Paradise City.

“When we first started this whole thing,” he said. “I was several months into my sobriety and playing a character who was going down the other path where he was getting into the darkness and all that stuff. And so that was a really interesting twist. But then with [Paradise City], Johnny’s on the other side. He’s trying to make his life better. But all of the demons from his past are making it more difficult for him to do that. And so I’m very little like Johnny. Other than our faces are the same.”

Bella Thorne, Cameron Boyce, BooBoo Stewart, Asking Alexandria‘s Ben Bruce and James Cassells, Juliet Simms and Randy Blythe are just a few of the other familiar faces starring in the American Satan spinoff.
